It's the latest series of the "We Remain Children" project, inspired by characters who play to live in their everyday lives and teach us to enjoy life despite adversities. The artworks draw from the artist's personal experiences through his social work in different marginalized areas of the country.

In the midst of a fractured, unequal, and polarized society, low-income populations must fight to survive. Children, the most vulnerable, bear the brunt. They absorb the brutal impact of the reality they face.

The series portrays children and young people who, despite their countless adversities, play and smile at life. The artist captures everyday moments where play and camaraderie take center stage. The characters are resilient, they manage to get their way, they play to live.

The red shoes are a connecting element. They symbolize the resilience and strength with which these new generations grow up in hostile environments; and they also speak about their socioeconomic situation, which is the same, as these knock-off "Crocs" are products they all use because they are the ones within their reach.
